However, it’s important to understand that science isn’t just about innovation, it’s about understanding the world around us and the ways that people use products or services.

Scientists are usually immersed in their work and focusing on expanding knowledge. Entrepreneurs are the ones who can turn this discovery into something that is beneficial to society. This requires a different set skills, including scepticism as well as an increased focus on the material. While science can be driven by intuition, curiosity and prior knowledge, it’s essential to include scepticism and methods like external and internal peer review, random control trials, and so on to avoid blind optimism.

A degree in Interdisciplinary Science and Business offers an opportunity to create an integrated framework for the two areas of expertise to prepare you for success in any related field to business. The program is offered jointly by Penn State Behrend School of Science and Black School of Business. It is among the few business-related science programs for undergraduates in the country. You can tailor your education by selecting a set of courses from either the business or science side of the equation which best meets your needs.
